The suggested plan will let you visit from the old streets of Hanoi to the majestic mountains of Halong Bay and hike through terrace fields in the hilly region – Sapa.

Day 1: Hanoi City Tour
Highlights:

Itinerary
- 8:00: Visit Tran Quoc Pagoda, one of the oldest Buddhist temple in Hanoi, near West Lake.
- 9:45: Move to visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, one of the famous attractions that tourists do not want to miss when visiting Hanoi. Let’s take a look at the following attractions included in this complex:

– Ho Chi Minh Museum
– Ba Dinh Square
– Ho Chi Minh Garden
- 11:15: Visit the neighboring One-Pillar Pagoda, one of the most iconic pagodas in Vietnam
- 12:00: Stop at a local eatery nearby for lunch.
- 13:30: Continue your itinerary with a visit to the first university in Vietnam – the Temple of Literature, which was built in 1070.
- 15:00: Head towards Hoan Kiem Lake, join in on the locals’ activities, and stroll around the lake to unwind. Visit Ngoc Son Temple and take photo with the iconic red bridge
- 16:40: Return to the hotel and get ready for dinner.
Select one of the following two to continue the itinerary:
- Option 1: You can enjoy famous cuisine of the Old Quarter with our local guide. After concluding the city tour and taking a short break, the guide will pick you up at your hotel around 6 p.m. to begin the 3-hour walking tour in Hanoi Old Quarter, where you may sample some of the city’s most famous foods. At the end of the tour, the guide will drop you off at the closest place so that you can conveniently walk back to your lodging.
- Option 2: Following the city tour, the guide will assist you in purchasing tickets for the water puppet show, which starts at 6:00 pm and ends at 7:00 pm. You will need to go back to your lodging on your own after the show is over.
Day 2: Hanoi – Sapa by Bus – Trekking to Cat Cat village

Itinerary
- 6.40 – 7.10: A limousine bus will pick you up at the hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter to depart for Sapa.
- 9:30: 9:30: Travel to Lao Cai city along the new national highway, stopping for a short break on route.
- 13:00: Arrive in Sapa and have lunch with regional dishes before doing check-in for your accommodation.
- 14.30: Your local guide will pick you up from your Sapa hotel to begin the trek to Cat Cat village, which is home to the Black H’mong people and is situated near the bottom of a valley under the Fansipan peak. It takes two hours to complete the 2.5 kilometers of trekking.
- 16.30: Return to Sapa town. The rest of the day will be your free time to explore the town. Have dinner at the hotel restaurant.

Day 3: Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Back to Hanoi by Bus

Itinerary
- 7.00 – 7.45: Have breakfast and prepare light food for climbing
- 8.00: Take a short drive to Y Linh Ho, then trek through rice terraces and along Muong Hoa stream to the Black H’mong village in Lao Chai to take in the breathtaking landscape of Hoang Lien Son Mountain, then head towards Ta Van village which is the home of the Dzay ethnic group.
- It takes 3.5 hours to complete the 9 km of hiking.
- 11:30: Car picks up at Ta Van bridge back to Sapa.
- 12.00 – 15.00: Have a shower at the hotel, check out and have lunch, and take a rest..
- 15.15: Board the bus back to Hanoi with two stops for break.
- 21:15: Arrive in Hanoi. The trip is over.
NOTE: Instead of following the above itinerary, you can opt to reach Fansipan peak by cable car.
Sapa – Fansipan Peak Itinerary
- 8:00: The car and guide will pick you up from the hotel after breakfast and take you to the cable car station. You will have about 20 minutes to take in the breathtaking views from the cable car.
- 9h00: You are free to take pictures, visit spiritual tourism destinations, and view the panorama at a height of 2800 metres. Fansipan – Roof of Indochina is also accessible by climbing 600 steps. (Walk around and take pictures for roughly 1.5 hours).
- 11.00: Head back to Cable Car Station and return to Sapa town
- 12.30: Have lunch at the hotel
- 13.30 – 15.45: Rest, explore Sapa town by yourself for some souvenirs and get ready to return to Hanoi
- 15.00: Get on the limousine back to Hanoi with 2 stops
- 20.45: Drop you off at your hotel/accommodation.
- The trip ends.
Day 4: Hanoi – Halong Bay – Overnight on Cruise

- 14:00: Visit the first stop – Titop island. Here you can swim, sunbathe or explore the island.
- 15:30: Go to Sung Sot Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay.
- 16:30: Back to the cruise. While awaiting dinner, take a shower and unwind on the deck.
- 17:30: Enjoy a set-menu dinner.
- 19:00: After the sun goes down, take part in squid fishing, karaoke and games.
Day 5: Halong Bay to Hanoi
- 07:00: Wake up early to enjoy breakfast on board.
- 07:40: Visit the pearl farm to learn all about pearl culture in Halong Bay.
- 08:30: Go kayaking and explore the area around your cruise by yourself.
- 10:30: Enjoy brunch. Take in the scenery of Halong Bay while the cruise returns to Tuan Chau Harbor.
- 12:00: The bus takes you back to Hanoi Old Quarter.
- 16:30: Drop you off at your hotel in Hanoi
