Trekking up Fansipan Mountain

- Next move to the second stop at an altitude of 2,800 meters, then climb to Fansipan peak. This route is relatively easy to follow but the landscape is not diverse or rich.
Sin Chai – Tram Ton route (medium difficulty)
- This is a very steep road, for those who have climbing experience and are in good health. Choosing this route, you will see more stunning and diverse mountainous landscapes.
- Depart from Sin Chai, then move to stops at altitudes of 2,200 meters and 2,800 meters respectively before reaching Fansipan peak.
From Cat Cat village (highest difficulty)
- This is the most intriguing route, with the most breathtaking views, but it’s also the most difficult to reach Fansipan Peak. This is a long and steep route best suited for those with prior climbing experience, good health, and a strong desire to reach the summit.
- Starting from Cat Cat Village and going up to Tram Ton or Sin Chai. Then climb to the peak of the mountain.
- Depending on your choice of trekking path, the climb to Fansipan Peak could take two days or longer.

How to get to cable car station
The cable car station is about 3 kilometers from the city center, so you can go by taxi or walk there. Taking a taxi takes about 10 minutes while walking is about 30 minutes. From the Stone Church, go along Thac Bac street, then Nguyen Chi Thanh street and go straight to Fansipan Legend Complex area. Because the distance is not long and there are many easy-to-follow signs, visitors rarely have any trouble getting to the cable car station.
There is a Muong Hoa climbing-mountain train that departs from the MGallery hotel in Sapa town center and travels at a speed of 10 m/s, bringing in 2,000 passengers every hour. Compared to driving to the top of the mountain by car, which is dangerous and challenging, using this mode of transportation saves time and money. Muong Hoa train ticket price is 100,000 VND/person, which is both cheap and convenient, so it is chosen by many tourists.
After taking the cable car to Fansipan station, it will take visitors about 20 to 30 minutes to climb another 600 steps to reach the peak of Fansipan. However, you can also choose to take another short train ride to get there.
